When’s the hiking season vs. the ski season?
Winter: From the first weekend of December until mid-April.
Summer: From early May through the end of October.
Where can I rent ski gear?
There are several rental shops on the Riederalp. We recommend Aletsch Sport.
Is the region child-friendly?
Yes! The Aletsch Arena is perfect for families – car-free, compact, and with ski schools and gentle slopes.
Do I need a car?
Not at all. The gondola to Riederalp is just a 10-minute walk from the chalet.
Where do I park?
You can park 1 car for free directly at the chalet.
